Little eat with gusto and look fat healthy certainly makes the hearts of parents happy. To support this, there are several types of super foods so that the baby becomes a fat and healthy baby.
The size of the baby's stomach and digestive organs is still very small, so the portion of food consumed is not much. For this reason, it is important to make sure the food and drinks that enter the body are rich in nutrients, so they can support their growth.
But remember, babies are generally just beginning to be introduced to solid foods, or often called complementary foods for breast milk, at the age of 6 months.
In order for a fat baby to be healthy, there are several principles in presenting MPASI to babies, namely food must be fresh, colorful, and have a variety of textures and flavors.
Foods for Healthy Fat Babies
The following are some types of food that can be served to make healthy, fat babies:Broccoli
Broccoli contains a lot of fiber, folate, and calcium. This green vegetable is very good to be the first vegetable that Little One tries. Cut into small pieces and steam until soft so the baby can consume them easily.
Banana
Bananas are easily served and practically carried everywhere. In addition, the carbohydrate and fiber content are also good for the baby's body. If you want to give this super food to babies, choose a ripe banana and serve it by scraping or mashing. If your child can chew, cut into small sizes so that it is easy to consume.
Sweet Potato
Sweet potatoes contain lots of vitamin C, beta carotene, fiber, potassium, iron, and antioxidants. The sweet taste makes babies love it. Sweet potatoes can be served by steaming until cooked then pounded, or blended into puree (porridge).
Avocado
This fruit is rich in healthy fats that can support brain development, as well as a source of calories. The composition of fat in avocados is almost similar to the composition of fat in avocados almost similar to the composition of fat in breast milk. In addition, avocados also contain high amounts of protein, which is good for infant growth. Both of these ingredients make avocados able to make healthy fat babies.
Mother can serve ripe avocados that have been mashed to the Little One. However, do not give avocados in excess, because this fruit is quickly filling.
Carrot
Besides having a sweet and bright color that is attractive when served, carrots also contain beta carotene which is good for baby's development and vision. Carrots can be served by steaming until cooked, then mashed, or mixed with baby porridge.
Orange
Oranges that are rich in vitamin C can support bone growth, as well as the formation of muscles and other body tissues. This vitamin also helps the absorption of iron from food, and keeps the body's fluid levels in balance. For Little One, Mother can choose oranges with sweet taste.
Egg
The main content of eggs is protein, zinc, folate, and various types of vitamins that are important for infant growth. Egg yolks contain choline and omega-3s which play an important role in baby's brain development. However, if your child has a history of allergies or is at risk of experiencing allergies, consult with your doctor before giving him eggs.
Meat
Beef, fish or chicken is a source of protein, iron, zinc and omega-3. For optimal growth and development, babies need to get protein intake from meat regularly. Be sure to smooth the meat before serving it to the baby. You can also mix meat with mashed vegetables and breast milk.
